Description
This artwork is part of a protest by Taring Padi in solidarity with farmers in Wadas, Central Java, whose village is being destroyed by andesite mining. Majority of farmers from this village planting coffee for generations.

Short Bio
Taring Padi is an underground, radical art collective based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Formed in 1998 during the political upheaval that led to the fall of the Suharto regime, the group is a prominent voice in Southeast Asian "people's art.
Their 2002 mural, People's Justice at Documenta fifteen (2022) – Kassel, Germany was removed shortly after the opening following accusations of antisemitic imagery. The incident sparked a massive global debate about artistic freedom, colonial history, and cultural sensitivity.
